From the sublime to the fabulously romantic, this summer concert has something for everyone. Mozart’s concerto, performed by Bristol clarinettist David Pagett, has a slow movement with a beauty and lyricism all of its own, holding the listener spellbound. Rachmaninov’s second symphony, composed in 1906, is melancholic and full of rich late-Romantic harmony. Add to this Rossini’s delightful tunes and good humour and you have the recipe for a delightful evening.
