Greg Sterland - Saxophone

Greg Sterland is a Bristol-born saxophonist whose musical journey has been shaped by a rich spectrum of influences from jazz legends to electronic pioneers. His artistry reflects a continual evolution, blending traditional sounds with innovative techniques to create a distinctive and compelling musical voice.

Primarily an improvising musician, Greg has recently turned his attention towards classical  saxophone. Drawing on his diverse background, he brings a fresh and characterful approach to his music, marked by nuance, imagination, and individuality.

A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where he studied jazz, Greg leads several ensembles and collaborates widely with composers and musicians across genres. His work embodies a spirit of curiosity and openness, bridging styles and traditions to forge something uniquely his own.
