Music Inspired by Shakespeare. 2016 marks 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare. An amazing array of music has been composed to accompany films and for operas based on the great Bard’s plays. To mark this special year, the Orchestra will perform works ranging from Tchaikovsky’s much loved “Romeo and Juliet” to the “Apprentice” theme tune, also known as Prokofiev’s Montagues and Capulets. Join the Orchestra under the baton of its new, exciting conductor, Tianyi Lu, for an evening in homage to the greatest playwright of all time. We are also delighted to welcome actors, Dorothy Collins, Jack Orozco and Matt Landau from the Bristol Old Vic's Made in Bristol programme for the concert - "mischief, thou art afoot"! Dorothy, Jack and Matt are all co-founders of Splint Theatre - @SplintTheatre.
